We’re seeking a talented SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team at a leading global firm. As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding software quality through innovative automation solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Build Robust Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, and Selenium to test web applications effectively.
- Automate Testing Across Layers: Craft automated test scripts for various testing types (functional, integration, end-to-end) using Selenium WebDriver and other tools to validate web apps, APIs, and databases.
- Master API Testing: Develop automated test suites that rigorously evaluate RESTful API functionality, performance, and security.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Perform database testing by writing and executing complex SQL queries, verifying data accuracy and consistency in the application backend.
- Create Detailed Test Plans: Craft thorough, well-structured test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business requirements and user stories.
- Champion Collaboration: Identify, document, and track bugs in collaboration with development teams. Work proactively to troubleshoot and debug issues.
- Bridge the Gap: Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss solutions, and enhance test coverage.
- Performance Under Pressure: Conduct load and performance testing to ensure the system meets required benchmarks.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Contribute to optimizing testing strategies, processes, and tools within the team to ensure quality and scalability.
What You’ll Bring:
- 4-9 years of experience in QA automation
- Expertise in Java programming and Spring Boot framework
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
- Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar
- Solid experience in database testing with SQL and writing complex queries
- Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail) for bug tracking and test case management
- Experience with version control tools (Git)
- Comfort working in an Agile environment with tools like JIRA or Confluence
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex automation challenges
