Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled DB/ETL Tester to join our team and ensure the quality of our data-intensive applications. As a DB/ETL Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for database and ETL processes.
- Perform data validation, data quality checks, and data profiling.
- Test data loading, transformation, and integration processes.
- Conduct performance testing to assess system responsiveness and scalability.
- Identify, log, and track defects to resolution.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies.
- Automate test cases using appropriate tools to improve efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of database concepts, including Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, and SQL
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.)
- Proficiency in SQL query writing and data analysis.
- Experience with testing methodologies and techniques (e.g., black-box, white-box, integration testing)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify data anomalies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
