Company Overview
We help companies staff up quickly, and right now we’re recruiting for a client of ours in the renewable energy and infrastructure space. They need an SRE Infrastructure Support Engineer, and they’re flexible to hire full-time, part-time, or contract resource who is looking for remote work. Candidates from anywhere in India are welcome to apply.
Job Summary
Our client needs someone who’s genuinely good under pressure — infrastructure breaks at inconvenient times, and they want a person who can dig in, figure out what’s wrong, and fix it without a lot of hand-holding. You’ll be troubleshooting complex issues, working with teams across the business, and generally making sure things stay reliable even when the pace picks up.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and work through complex infrastructure issues as they come up.
- Team up with other departments to sort out infrastructure-related problems.
- Build and roll out infrastructure improvements that make things more efficient and reliable.
- Handle routine maintenance and upgrades so systems don’t fall behind.
- Keep things aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Take your turn in the on-call rotation — this role includes 24/7 support coverage.
Required Skills
- Solid grasp of infrastructure support principles and how they play out in practice.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the analytical chops to back them up.
- Communicates clearly, both with technical folks and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable with monitoring and logging tools day to day.
AI Experience
- If you’ve used AI tools to speed up log analysis or triage alerts, that’s a nice plus.
- You don’t need hands-on AI/ML experience — just some awareness that automation is creeping into infrastructure work these days.
Managerial Experience
- This is an individual contributor role — no direct reports expected.
- You should still be comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams to get problems solved.
Operational Experience
- Experience with on-call rotations and 24/7 support is expected here.
- You’ve handled routine maintenance and upgrades on production infrastructure before.
- You know how to keep systems compliant with industry standards without it becoming a huge lift.
Experience
2 to 6 Years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Any graduate or postgraduate degree works.
Certifications
- A cloud platform certification (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is a nice-to-have, not a dealbreaker.
