Job Summary
We are looking for a Java AWS Developer with 4–10 years of experience to support our client in India. The role involves developing enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot, building scalable microservices and REST APIs, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with application development, cloud services, CI/CD, databases, production support, and distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Work on system integration, application performance tuning, and production support.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and participate in technical design reviews.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines while automating application build, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
- Follow application security practices, coding standards, and established engineering guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across production and lower environments.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical improvements within the team.
Required Technical Skills
- 4–10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java 8, 11, and/or 17.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- AWS certification is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to React or Angular.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed delivery teams and working directly with clients.
AI Experience
AI experience is not mandatory for this role. The source requirements focus on Java, Spring Boot, AWS, microservices, cloud-native development, databases, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
Managerial Experience
Formal people-management experience is not mandatory. The role includes mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical excellence within the team.
Operational Experience
- Experience supporting applications in production and lower environments.
- Experience troubleshooting application, integration, and performance issues.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Ability to collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, product, and business teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Qualifications
B.Tech / B.E. in Any Specialization.
Certifications
AWS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
