Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Production Support professional to support enterprise applications and production environments. The role involves diagnosing application issues, identifying root causes, evaluating solution alternatives, supporting deployments, and working with consulting and technical teams across different stages of a project.
The ideal candidate should have strong Java and production support experience, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues, understand business requirements, contribute to solution design, and support high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Java-based applications and enterprise systems.
- Participate in different phases of projects, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, design, and deployment.
- Investigate application and production issues and identify their root causes.
- Evaluate alternative solutions using available technical research, vendor information, and other relevant resources.
- Build proofs of concept (POCs) where required to validate potential solutions.
- Translate business needs into requirement specifications and support definition of to-be processes.
- Prepare or contribute to detailed functional and technical designs based on requirements.
- Support configuration of solution requirements on relevant products and platforms.
- Analyze issues, seek clarification where necessary, and identify and shortlist appropriate solution alternatives.
- Contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives focused on improving solution quality and customer value.
- Work collaboratively with consulting, technical, and client-facing teams to support successful project delivery.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Java development and application support.
- Hands-on experience in Java Production Support.
- Experience providing Java Application Support in enterprise environments.
- Experience with L1/L2 production support activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-diagnosis skills.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and identify suitable resolution approaches.
- Understanding of application deployment and production support processes.
- Working knowledge of Spring Boot is preferred.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical or functional solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Experience in L1 and L2 application support environments.
- Exposure to enterprise IT services and consulting projects.
- Experience participating in solution evaluation and proof-of-concept activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
