We are looking for a skilled and motivated SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and support across ECC and HANA environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP applications while ensuring smooth business operations and system performance.
In this role, you will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable SAP technical solutions. You should be comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, improving existing SAP programs, and participating in ongoing system enhancements and development projects.
The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, and the capability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in handling real-time SAP projects and exposure to modern SAP development practices will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, conversions, workflows, and forms based on business requirements
- Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business users to understand technical and functional requirements
- Develop custom SAP solutions in ECC and HANA environments to support business processes and operational needs
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to SAP ABAP applications and system integrations
- Perform debugging, performance optimization, and code enhancements for existing SAP programs
- Support daily SAP operations and provide technical assistance to users whenever required
- Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, functional specifications, and development reports
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards, quality practices, and best development methodologies are followed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during implementation, testing, deployment, and support activities
- Assist in system upgrades, patches, migrations, and SAP enhancement projects
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining high-quality deliverables
- Provide user guidance, technical training, and ongoing support for SAP ABAP-related solutions
- Work within Agile or project-based development environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming concepts and development standards
- Hands-on experience working with SAP ECC and SAP HANA modules
- Experience in developing reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and custom SAP objects
- Good understanding of SAP data dictionary, module pool programming, smart forms, ALV reports, and performance tuning
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for SAP ABAP applications
- Basic understanding of Agile development methodology and project workflows
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently

- Experience with version control tools and code management practices
- Exposure to real-time SAP implementation or support projects
- Knowledge of SAP integration concepts and workflows
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, CDS Views, or OData services would be beneficial
- Experience working in production support and enhancement projects
