Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to support our client’s technology projects in India. The role requires strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL, along with practical exposure to AI-assisted software development.
The selected resource will work across frontend, backend and database components and should be able to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable technical solutions. A key part of the role involves using AI-assisted development tools effectively while applying sound engineering judgement to review and validate the generated output.
This is a remote opportunity. Resources may be engaged on a full-time, part-time or contractual basis depending on project requirements and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain full stack applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions while considering scalability, security and maintainability.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, analysis, documentation, testing and development planning.
- Provide clear and structured instructions to AI tools, including business rules, technical constraints, acceptance criteria, coding standards and expected outcomes.
- Develop React components, TypeScript interfaces, reusable hooks, forms, state-management logic and frontend API integrations.
- Build Node.js backend services, REST APIs, middleware, validation logic, authentication flows, error handling and integration modules.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, SQL queries, migrations, indexes, views, functions and data-validation scripts.
- Review, test, debug, refactor and optimise AI-generated and manually written code before deployment.
- Analyse existing codebases, understand dependencies, investigate complex logic, identify defects and recommend improvements.
- Create unit tests, integration tests, API test cases, test data and edge-case scenarios.
- Maintain project-level AI development instructions covering coding conventions, architecture standards, business terminology, commands and development workflows.
- Break down business requirements into smaller development tasks and prepare implementation plans before starting development.
- Validate database designs against business rules, data relationships, transaction requirements, security requirements and expected query patterns.
- Review AI-generated output for security vulnerabilities, incorrect assumptions, performance concerns and compatibility with the existing application architecture.
- Use AI-assisted tools to support technical documentation, API specifications, database documentation, code comments, release notes and troubleshooting guides.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
- Proficiency and prior experience with Node.js and backend development.
- Good working knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Proficiency and prior experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating frontend and backend applications.
- Experience with database schemas, SQL queries, migrations and query optimisation.
- Good understanding of authentication, validation and error handling.
- Working knowledge in Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong debugging, testing and code review skills.
- Ability to understand and work with existing application architectures and codebases.
AI Experience
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools, preferably Claude Code or similar tools.
- Ability to write structured prompts that communicate business rules, technical constraints, acceptance criteria and expected outputs.
- Experience using AI tools to generate and improve frontend, backend and database code.
- Experience reviewing and validating AI-generated code rather than relying on generated output without technical review.
- Ability to use AI tools for codebase analysis, debugging, test generation, documentation and implementation planning.
- Experience maintaining project-level AI instructions, such as CLAUDE.md or similar project guidance files, will be an advantage.
- Understanding of the security, performance and architectural risks associated with AI-generated code.
Required Skills
- 8–10 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into well-structured technical solutions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ownership and attention to code quality.
- Ability to work in standalone manner while working in partnership with a broader engineering team.
- Willingness to adopt new development practices and technologies where relevant.
Managerial Experience
Not Mandatory. This is primarily a hands-on senior individual contributor role. Previous formal team-handling experience is not required. However, the candidate may be expected to guide technical discussions, share knowledge and support other developers when required.
Operational Experience
- Experience working across frontend, backend and database layers of web applications.
- Experience analysing existing codebases and implementing enhancements or fixes.
- Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining development quality standards.
- Ability to plan and manage development tasks based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working with testing, debugging and release-related activities.
- Ability to work within established development processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Any Graduate with strong relevant experience in full stack software development may be considered.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field will be an advantage.
- Relevant practical experience and demonstrated technical capability will be given due consideration.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, software development, databases or AI technologies may be an advantage but are not mandatory.
Experience
8–10 years of relevant experience in full stack software development, with strong hands-on exposure to React, Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
