About the Role:
As a Shopify Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing Shopify stores. You’ll work with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Theme Development:
- Create custom Shopify themes from scratch or customize existing ones.
- Develop responsive themes that adapt to different screen sizes and devices.
- Optimize themes for speed and performance.
- Ensure compatibility with the latest Shopify versions and industry standards.
- Liquid Templating:
- Write clean, well-structured Liquid code to create dynamic content and layouts.
- Utilize Liquid filters and tags to manipulate data and control the flow of content.
- App Development:
- Develop custom Shopify apps to extend the functionality of stores.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into Shopify apps.
- Optimize app performance and security.
- Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify stores and apps.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates and best practices.
- Client Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide timely updates.
- Manage client expectations and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- In-depth knowledge of Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
- Understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Ability to work with version control systems like Git.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of server-side scripting languages like Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with headless Shopify.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
