We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Linux and Windows Server environments, as well as our network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of networking protocols, scripting, and troubleshooting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Server Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Manage server hardware and software, including virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
  • Monitor server performance and proactively address any issues.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Networking:
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage network security policies and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Scripting and Automation:
  • Develop and maintain scripts for system administration and network management tasks.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system and network problems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
• Security:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices and policies.
  • Monitor for security threats and respond to security incidents.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration.
  • Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with network security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
• Technical Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages.
  • Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards.
