Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Web Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and optimization of our company’s website(s). You will ensure website uptime, performance, and security while providing a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Maintenance:
  • Regularly update website software, plugins, and themes (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
  • Monitor website performance, identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices.
• Technical Administration:
  • Manage and configure web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx).
  • Implement and maintain website security measures (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SSL certificates).
  • Optimize website speed and performance using caching, image optimization, and other techniques.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, PHP).
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP).
• Other Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with web developers and designers on website updates and improvements.
  • Assist with website analytics and reporting.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 10 years of professional experience as a Web Administrator or in a related role.
• Proven experience with website administration tasks (e.g., server management, security, troubleshooting).
• Strong understanding of web technologies and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, PHP).
• Familiarity with network security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
