Job Summary
On behalf of our India-based client in the Media & Publishing Technology sector, we are seeking an experienced Application/Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in .NET technologies, database management, and API integration. This is a fully remote opportunity offering flexible engagement models, including full-time, part-time, and contractual arrangements, enabling professionals to contribute based on their expertise and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and Web APIs
- Develop solutions using .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
- Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, including SMS Gateway integrations
- Debug, test, and optimize application performance
- Engage with cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade software solutions that drive business value.
Required Skills
- 6 to 9 years of experience in application/software development
- Strong knowledge of .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with API development and integration
- Knowledge of SMS Gateway integration is preferred
AI Experience
- Working knowledge of AI-powered development assistants and their effective use in coding, testing, debugging, and code optimization to enhance engineering productivity is desirable.
- Interest in applying AI-assisted tools for code review, testing, or documentation
Managerial Experience
- This position is focused on individual technical contribution, with an emphasis on collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to build and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Operational Experience
- Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing application performance in production environments
- Experience managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production web applications and APIs while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and uptime.
- Familiarity with database management and query optimization across multiple database platforms
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent, OR
- MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, OR
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, or a related STEM discipline, with a strong analytical and technical foundation.
- 6 to 9 years of relevant hands-on experience in application/software development
- Proven experience to work effectively in remote mode independently and open to work in collaboration with distributed team whenever required.
Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
- Certification in Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, or related application development technologies is a plus and demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Professional certifications in database management, API development, or modern backend technologies are preferred but not mandatory.
