Roles & Responsibilities
- Define cloud architecture strategies, technology roadmaps, and governance frameworks for enterprise AWS environments.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives, application modernization programs, and cloud adoption strategies.
- Design and govern hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS services.
- Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and multi-region cloud solutions with disaster recovery capabilities.
- Develop architecture standards for scalability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Terragrunt, and automation frameworks.
- Establish CI/CD architecture standards and deployment governance across engineering teams.
- Design cloud-native platforms leveraging containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and managed AWS services.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and industry regulatory requirements.
- Architect identity management, access control, encryption, and security monitoring solutions.
- Design networking architectures including Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, resilience testing, failover strategies, and business continuity initiatives.
- Drive cloud cost optimization, resource efficiency, and FinOps best practices.
- Establish architecture review processes and provide technical governance for strategic technology initiatives.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, reference designs, technical standards, and decision records.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and executive leadership teams on cloud transformation projects.
- Mentor engineers, architects, and technical teams on cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Support container orchestration, platform engineering, and cloud-native deployment strategies.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is required.
- Additional certifications in AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking, Kubernetes, Cloud Security, or Enterprise Architecture are highly desirable.
- Equivalent practical experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise platform engineering will be strongly considered.
