About the Opportunity
We are hiring experienced Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) Telecommunications User SMEs for a Germany-based global client supporting large-scale telecom network inventory and service assurance operations.
This is a contractual opportunity for professionals who have strong telecom domain expertise and practical hands-on experience using the Blue Planet Inventory platform from an operational and inventory management perspective. The role is best suited for candidates who are comfortable working directly within the BPI interface to maintain, validate, and improve telecom network inventory data across multiple technology layers.
Location – Multiple locations in India/EU/Germany/Remote

Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining telecom network inventory within the Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) platform
- Creating, updating, and correcting inventory objects directly through the BPI GUI
- Validating relationships between physical, logical, and service layers within the network inventory
- Reviewing topology structures, object relationships, routing paths, and cross-connections
- Identifying missing or incorrect inventory mappings and resolving data inconsistencies
- Supporting accurate modelling of telecom services and network resources
- Working closely with operations, engineering, and service delivery teams to improve inventory accuracy and network visibility
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in the telecommunications domain
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies including:
- Ethernet (Metro-E L1/L2/L3)
- IP/MPLS
- Transport technologies such as DWDM, OTN, and TDM
- GPON / FTTx
- Voice networks
- Offnet circuits
- Hands-on experience using Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) as an end user or SME
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Nodes
- Ports
- Cards
- Shelves
- Circuits
- Paths
- Service instances
- Ability to analyze service and resource modelling within BPI
- Experience identifying and fixing inventory gaps such as:
- Missing ports
- Incorrect routing
- Incomplete service mapping
- Good understanding of topology interpretation, resource hierarchies, and object relationships
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in telecom inventory management or network operations environments
- Comfortable working with global teams in remote or hybrid setups
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced enterprise telecom projects
