We are seeking a seasoned DBA Admin with deep expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases to manage and optimize mission-critical data systems. This role involves working on cloud-based platforms, ensuring high availability, and maintaining performance across large-scale database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administration and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle databases in live environments
- Analyze and enhance database performance through query tuning and optimization
- Design and deploy highly available and scalable database architectures
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Continuously monitor system performance and resource usage
- Develop and support ETL workflows and data integration pipelines
- Enforce data security, governance, and compliance standards
- Assist in data migration, modernization, and cloud transition projects
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell
- Work closely with teams to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (primary) and Oracle (secondary)
- Practical experience with Azure SQL (PaaS environment)
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques
- Hands-on exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Knowledge of data security frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell or equivalent tools)
- Expertise in database performance monitoring and tuning
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
Education
- Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline
