We are recruiting professionals for a fully remote role with an established US-based client. The successful candidates will collaborate with the client’s team and support their ongoing business and technology needs.
Job Summary
On behalf of our U.S.-based client in the Insurance Technology sector, we are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, along with frontend development using React.js. The ideal candidate has experience building scalable enterprise applications and working in Agile environments. The role is fully remote and available under full-time, part-time, or contract-based engagement models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications
- Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Build responsive and reusable UI components using React.js
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver reliable, high-quality software applications.
- Conduct peer code reviews, develop and execute unit tests, and troubleshoot application defects.
- Improve application efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness while adhering to established security standards and best practices.
- Contribute throughout the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis and development through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Support production deployments and troubleshoot application issues
Required Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java Full Stack Development
- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
- Solid development expertise with React.js and modern front-end technologies, including JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and C
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA
- Experience with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle
- Hands-on experience with JUnit and Mockito
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
AI Experience
- Working knowledge of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT is a plus.
- Interest in using AI-based solutions for code review, automated testing, debugging, and documentation.
Managerial Experience
- Work independently as an individual contributor while partnering with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Operational Experience
- Experience supporting production deployments and troubleshooting live application issues
- Experience optimizing application performance and ensuring security best practices
- Practical experience conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and resolving software defects throughout the development process.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical field is required.
- 6+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Java Full Stack Development
- Strong ability to manage responsibilities independently and collaborate efficiently with team members in a remote, distributed work environment.
Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
- Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer or equivalent
- Industry-recognized certifications in Spring Framework, React.js, cloud platforms, or related technologies are desirable.
