Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database applications using Oracle PL/SQL. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our database-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-performance PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Optimize SQL queries for maximum performance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and constraints.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
- Perform data analysis and data modeling.
- Ensure data integrity and security.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay abreast of the latest Oracle technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with other developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming, including advanced concepts like collections, object-relational features, and dynamic SQL.
- Experience with Oracle Database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c or higher.
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCE).
