Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual) and related hardware and software.
  • Monitor server performance, identify and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
  • Implement and maintain server security measures (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
• Network Administration:
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security policies.
• User Support:
  • Provide technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with user account management and access control.
  • Troubleshoot user-related problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Security:
  • Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor security logs and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all IT systems and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 9 years of professional experience in systems administration.
• Strong understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
• Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified).
