We are a talent acquisition and staff augmentation firm, and we are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, an enterprise organization in the manufacturing and logistics space. Our client is looking to onboard a Scrum Master across multiple locations in the US for a fully remote role that can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or contractual basis, depending on the candidate’s preference and eligibility.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for technology and data-focused teams within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role blends servant leadership, Agile coaching, and project delivery expertise to help teams consistently deliver high-quality business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile Delivery Excellence
- Work as Scrum Master for one or more Agile delivery teams.
- Assist and accelerate Scrum observances, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum values, and servant leadership practices.
- Promote team accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and shield teams from external disruptions that impact delivery.
Drive Project Execution & Delivery
- Support release planning, sprint execution, and milestone management.
- Coordinate work across teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Classify, trail and track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies for the deliverables.
- Provide clear, transparent reporting on delivery progress, metrics, and risks.
- Balance Agile flexibility with delivery commitments to ensure predictable execution.
Partner with Product Owners & Stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain backlog readiness and prioritization.
- Help define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
- Facilitate communication between delivery teams, engineering leaders, and business partners.
- Escalate critical risks and blockers while driving timely resolution.
Enable Continuous Improvement
- Use Agile metrics such as velocity, throughput, predictability, and flow to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead retrospectives that produce actionable, measurable outcomes.
- Coach teams on using delivery metrics that focus on value creation rather than output.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and process optimization.
Support Enterprise Agile Practices
- Navigate and coordinate cross-team dependencies in scaled Agile environments.
- Align Agile delivery practices with enterprise governance, compliance, and risk requirements.
- Maintain Agile artifacts and ensure appropriate reporting within enterprise delivery tools.
- Contribute to Agile maturity initiatives and broader organizational transformation efforts.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of Scrum frameworks, Agile methodologies, and servant leadership principles.
- Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations within Agile environments.
- Active role in facilitating collaboration and team work across technical and business teams.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Agile delivery metrics and continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability and capacity to influence stakeholders and steer alignment without direct authority.
AI Experience
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools for sprint reporting, retrospective summarization, or backlog analysis is a plus.
- Awareness of how AI tools are being introduced into delivery and reporting workflows within Agile teams, though hands-on AI/ML experience is not required for this role.
Managerial Experience
- 5+ years of experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience serving as a Scrum Master.
- Earlier experience in project management, program management, or delivery leadership roles.
- Experience in building effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
Operational Experience
- Experience supporting technology and/or data-focused teams in large, matrixed organizations.
- Experience navigating scaled Agile frameworks and cross-team dependencies.
- Background working within highly governed, compliance-driven, or regulated environments is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Comparable combination of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
Certifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or an equivalent Agile certification (preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management credential is a plus.
