We are a talent acquisition and staff augmentation firm, and we are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, an enterprise organization in the financial services and insurance space. Our client is looking to onboard a Senior Business Analyst across multiple locations in the US for a fully remote role that can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or contractual basis, depending on the candidate’s preference and eligibility.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development and IT projects using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. In this role, you will lead requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and solution delivery efforts, working closely with development, data, and architecture teams to ensure business needs are translated into clear, actionable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder management, to meet business and project objectives.
- Review and validate requirements to make sure that they are complete, consistent, clearly understood, practical to implement, and aligned with organizational standards and guidelines.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide developers and the broader project team.
- Conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure specifications are interpreted correctly.
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, redefining them as necessary.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team.
- Work with other business analysts, data analysts, business architects, and development and data governance teams to ensure their needs are reflected in project requirements.
- Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution, along with business validation discussions and meetings.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional business and IT teams through requirements gathering, solution delivery, and organizational change.
- Proven experience managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementations, documenting business and system processes, and using project and requirements management tools.
- Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies, with the ability to effectively communicate project progress, risks, issues, and overall status to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities, with the capability to quickly adjust to changing business needs and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Technical background preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
AI Experience
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools to support requirements documentation, process mapping, or meeting summarization is a plus.
- Awareness of how AI tools are being introduced into business analysis and project delivery workflows, though hands-on AI/ML experience is not required for this role.
Managerial Experience
- Experience leading cross-functional business and IT teams through requirements gathering, solution delivery, and organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to communicate project health, risks, and status clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Comfortable facilitating collaboration and resolving conflicting priorities among stakeholders.
Operational Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale data modernization or enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
- Proven experience managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementations and documenting business and system processes end to end.
- Hands-on exposure to maintaining requirement traceability and overseeing requirement status from initiation through project completion..
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead Business Analyst capacity is strongly preferred.
Certifications
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or an equivalent business analysis certification (preferred, not mandatory).
