About the Role

The Java Microservices Developer will be tasked with creating reliable backend systems, designing RESTful APIs, developing microservices, and incorporating Generative AI features into enterprise applications and development processes.
This position is best suited for individuals who have a solid background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, both SQL and NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and Generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities of a Java Microservices Developer

Java Application Development

  • Designed, developed, and maintained enterprise-scale applications using Java and J2EE technologies, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop robust and secure backend solutions by utilizing contemporary Java frameworks.
  • Built well-structured, reusable, and easily maintainable codebases by following recognized software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Spring Boot and Microservices Development

  • Create and implement microservices utilizing Spring Boot and Spring Framework technologies.
  • Build distributed systems using microservices architecture patterns.
  • Design and create RESTful APIs that are used in enterprise applications.
  • Integrate services by utilizing asynchronous communication frameworks like Kafka.
  • Create backend systems that can manage large numbers of transactions efficiently and effectively.

Generative AI and AI-Assisted Development

  • Integrate generative AI tools into the development lifecycle to increase efficiency and improve outcomes.
  • Refined AI interactions through prompt design techniques to increase development efficiency and output quality.
  • Engage with next-generation AI technologies and interoperability standards, including MCP and Agent-to-Agent communication frameworks.
  • Support initiatives that leverage artificial intelligence for coding, testing, documentation, and software delivery processes.

Database Development

  • Backend Engineering and API Development
  • Create and set up secure REST APIs and backend systems.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems.
  • Ensure that the backend platforms are designed to maintain high availability, consistent reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize service performance.
  • Create and implement solutions by utilizing both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.

  • Participate in enterprise application deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in developing Java-based microservices or backend applications.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE application development.
  • Profound understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Data, JPA, and Hibernate.
  • Hands-on experience developing microservices-based applications.

  • It is advantageous to have an understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial.
