Company Overview
We are a talent acquisition and staff augmentation firm, and we are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, an enterprise organization in the retail and operations technology space. Our client is looking to onboard a Technical Product Manager across multiple locations in Germany for a fully remote role that can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or contractual basis, depending on the candidate’s preference and eligibility.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to support an operations-driven product team focused on improving internal processes, tools, and workflows across the business. This role serves as a central point of contact for technology tool rollouts and helps connect business stakeholders, technology teams, and frontline operations. The best candidate knows the product lifecycle and SDLC, can describe and record user pain points, document them accurately, and collaborate with engineering to formulate solutions. This position calls for strong product sense, an ownership mindset, and the ability to help move features from development through to production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering/IT, Finance, Operations, and other teams to understand pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in workshops, requirement sessions, and stand-ups to keep everyone aligned on goals and priorities.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Help track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, following up with owners to keep initiatives moving.
- Support user acceptance testing by drafting use cases, organizing test cycles with business users, and tracking issues and defects.
- Document test results and work with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure issues are understood and resolved before go-live.
- Serve as a central contact for technology tool rollouts across the organization.
- Capture user pain points and collaborate with engineering teams to develop practical solutions.
- Own and support the end-to-end product process to help move features from development to production.
- Deliver results quickly while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
- Can handle and deal with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal along with the capability to articulate information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and follow-through skills; able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with productivity and project tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, Google Sheets).
- Basic analytical skills and an eagerness to learn how to interpret data to support decisions.
AI Experience
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools to summarize requirement sessions, draft user stories, or organize test documentation is a plus.
- Awareness of how AI tools are being introduced into product and operations workflows, though hands-on AI/ML experience is not required for this role.
Managerial Experience
- This is primarily an individual contributor role; prior formal team-handling experience is not required.
- Ability to act as a central point of contact across business, technology, and operations stakeholders, driving alignment without direct authority.
Operational Experience
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
- Experience supporting technology tool rollouts across a business, connecting stakeholders and frontline operations teams.
- Track record of moving features from development through to production in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proficiency or same kind of expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
- Understanding of the product lifecycle and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Certifications
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or an equivalent product management certification (preferred, not mandatory).
